Course Overview:
Designed as a two-semester course for high school students.
Health immerses students in knowledge spanning all
aspects of health education pertinent to students' immediate
world, their future, and that of society as a whole. Topics
examined include character development, the varying facets
of mental heath, stress and its resulting consequences,
family relations, emotional development, sexuality,
functions and development of the human body, and overall
physical well-being.
Fitness for Life
Course Overview:
One-semester course designed to give students the knowledge
and skills necessary to self-assess, create, conduct,
evaluate, and redesign personal fitness programs. The course
is a combination of activity-based learning activities with
a focus on proper nutrition and the mastery of skills and
concepts necessary for students to become accomplished
monitors of their personal lifetime fitness..
