Course Overview: Through the open discussions, all students in the program get to know each other. Students read articles and readings each week. Course Overview: All students entering our school begin with this English program focusing on the writing process and keys to quality writing as well as critical reading and interpretive skills. Students will complete a number of writing and reading projects. This course teaches the foundational skills needed to succeed in all areas of our high school program. Course Overview: The second English program covered by students entering our program builds on skills covered in LA100 and adds to those skills strategies for creating quality research papers. Students continue to build their critical reading skills. Students will complete a number of writing projects including the creation of a research paper. This course counts as a full-credit and counts as two of your student's classes in the semester. LA300 Speech and Electronic Presentations

Course Overview: Students will explore the dynamics of writing and delivering quality presentations. In addition to creating talks on various subjects and themes, students will create powerpoint presentations to deliver with their speeches.

Course Overview:
Students combine their writiung skills with photography skills to create interesting amd clear photojournalism articles. Students write their articles for our online student newspaper.
