Many high school homeschool programs require that you participate in discussions and answer teacher questions with your classmates while logged into the chat room. This can be a somewhat stressful experience since you don’t have much time to prepare your answers. In contrast with traditional classroom discussion distance learning doesn’t provide you with the opportunity to observe body language or catch any nuance of speech. Chat room participates may also be slow typists or poor spellers further hampering the flow of the conversation.
